Brian Dyak, a pioneer of edutainment depiction and strategies for the story telling of important health and social issues, is a nationally recognized impresario of health-oriented communication campaigns involving the entertainment and media creative community and their audiences. Brian motivates entertainment creators and executives to engage in the “art of making a difference”. He serves as a key link between the entertainment industry, national health and social policy experts, and trends in the popular culture.
As founder of the Entertainment Industries Council, he successfully constructed a bridge between the entertainment industry and health and social policy issue leaders and organizations since 1983. This includes: cause oriented merchandising, media campaigns, and multiple cause driven television productions and public service campaigns. He is an award-winning executive producer/creator of the PRISM Awards Showcase television special, the only national television show, in the history of television, addressing substance use disorders and mental health that has aired 3 years in syndication and for over 14 years on major national cable networks.
Mr. Dyak is also an accomplished publisher of Spotlight on Depiction of Health and Social Issues, a multi-volume resource encyclopedia for the creative community. Brian created the web based as an easy access resource for writers, producers, directors, talent and entertainment executives to be better informed and to effectively communicate information about a myriad of health and social issues and concerns to the general public.
