Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. (EIC) and Sun SafeTee Program Launch “Block the Sun, Not the Fun” Skin Cancer Awareness Campaign
In early summer of 2005, the U.S. House of Representatives passed Resolution No. 169 recognizing the importance of sun safety. Sponsored by Representatives Mike Bilirakis, Rick Boucher, Gene Green, Mary Bono and Maurice Hinchey, the Resolution congratulates the Sun Safety Alliance, EIC’s partner in bringing the issue of skin cancer prevention to the entertainment industry, and “encourages all Americans to protect themselves and their children from the dangers of excessive sun exposure.”
