Picture This: A Local Approach to Mental Health
The Picture This: Local Approach publications are from the Picture This events which we have had in select cities nationwide. The publications and events are a result of EIC’s Entertainment and Media Communication Institute’s Mental Healthcare: Media Blueprint Think Tank where a vision was set forth, “to increase the nation’s mental health and decrease the burden of mental illness.” It was at this event, EIC vowed to work with members of Congress to communicate about mental health issues directly within local communities.
EIC’s Think Tank occurred in the Nation’s Capitol with collaboration from the Congressional Mental Health Co-Chairs Rep. Grace Napolitano and Rep. Tim Murphy as well as Congressional Entertainment Caucus Chair Rep. Diane Watson. Please take a look at the publications from each city for insight into media approaches that address similarities and differences in each city.
